About Us
Welcome to my collection of RetroClassy Jewelry!
What's in the name? NEC, NanEdwardsCollection is named after me Nan Stombaugh (www.nanstombaugh.com), the owner and designer and Edwards was the maiden name of my beloved grandmother, Esther Adele Edwards Stombaugh. This Collection honors her memory and my personal inspiration. Me? I am an educator, professional artist (painter and mixed media) and now a small business owner! This past April NEC celebrated its 1st year in business!
Inspiration? As a young kiddo I spent a lot of time soaking up all the goodies in grandma's jewelry boxes; making art and collecting "rocks." One of my most treasured possessions was a small display card with gemstones from around the world--my favs were moss agate and tiger eye. I was so drawn to the rich assortment of colors, textures, and the way the light was reflected by the stones. My intention with NEC is to create jewelry that is RetroClassy inspired by early 20th-Century design incorporating vintage components and "rocks" that have personal meaning for me and I hope you too!
